The Southeastern Surgical Congress 2017 Annual Scientific Meeting was held in Nashville, Tennessee from February 25-28. Dr. Sharona Ross presented three surgical videos, Robotic Transhiatal Esophagectomy, Robotic Release of a Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome, and Laparo-Endoscopic Single Site (LESS) Reduction of a Giant Hiatal Hernia with Toupet Fundoplication, in front of a national audience. Dr. Ross’ surgical video of the Robotic Transhiatal Esophagectomy won the Feature Presentation award, as the top surgical video presented. Dr. Rosemurgy gave an oral presentation on “Age and Achalasia: How Does Age Affect Patient Presentation, Hospital Course, and Surgical Outcomes?” Dr. Rosemurgy’s presentation was in front of the entire meeting as is was one of the top five abstracts to be presented.
