Dr. Alexander Rosemurgy, Director of Surgical Digestive Disorders and HPB Surgery and Fellowship Program of Florida Hospital Tampa served as the Honorary Chair for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network on September 12, 2016. The event was held during the Purple Stride Breakfast 2016.
Purple Stride is an organization that offers support and spreads awareness for patients living with and fighting pancreatic cancer. Each year, Purple Stride Tampa Bay organizes a 5k run and a 1-mile walk, which will be held this year on October 29, 2016. Florida Hospital Tampa is proud to be a Gold Sponsor for this year’s Purple Stride event, which will take place in St. Petersburg.

Dr. Rosemurgy has long been a proponent and dedicated advocate to the research and improving upon treatment and surgical methods for pancreatic cancer. He is proud to have been able to serve as Honorary Chair for Purple Stride, and has also shown great interest in working with PanCan to continue these efforts. Florida Hospital Tampa
