Florida Hospital Tampa is pleased to announce the opening of the Mickle Center for Reflux and Esophageal Cancer. The Grand Opening event took place on November 14, 2016. Dr. Sharona Ross, Dr. Alexander Rosemurgy, and Maeve Mickle were in attendance to celebrate the occasion.

The Mickle Center was named after the late George Mickle. During the Grand Opening event, we are also pleased to announce that there will be a memorial center devoted to his memory. The George Mickle Center for Reflux and Esophageal Disorders offers provides diagnostic treatment options specialized for each patient.

Florida Hospital Tampa recognizes that many patients suffer each and every day from some form of esophageal disorder or reflux disease. We are proud to offer many state-of-the-art treatments and cutting edge technology to better help our patients. Our team also subscribes to a multidisciplinary approach to providing our patients with the resources that they need.

It is our hope that the Mickle Center will promote raising awareness in the community with GERD and other esophageal disorders. Florida Hospital Tampa has long been advocates for minimally invasive surgery and options for treating GERD, and we are proud that our new center is more focused on this area, and can further help us to offer our patients that personalized care that they need.
