Dr. Ross and Franka Co attended the Florida American College of Surgeons on May 16th to 17th in Weston, Florida. Our focus at this conference was the Women in Surgery Sponsored Program. The speakers' topics included:

- "The Importance of Mentorship and Networking"
Dr. Sharona Ross is the Founder and Director of FHT Women in Surgery Initiative. In addition, she is a highly-acclaimed specialist in minimally invasive and robotic surgery. She has received numerous awards for her work, including the American Society of Abdominal Surgeons Designated Surgeon for 2011. Not only has she excelled in her field, but she is committed to keeping up to date with all of the latest information out there for surgeons. This conference came at the tail end of a series of conferences Dr. Ross attended and presented at throughout the U.S., joined by Dr. Rosemurgy, Dr. Wood and Dr. Sukharamwala on some occasions.
