On July 11, 2015, our very own Dr. Sharona Ross assisted with the celebration of The Power Walk for Dress for Success 2015, which was held at Westfield Citrus Park in Tampa. Dress for Success is committed to empowering up-and-coming female professionals, who come from disadvantaged backgrounds, by providing professional attire and other tools to help their careers blossom. The team has assisted close to 900, 000 women since its inception in 1997.
Our insight about the program: “The Power Walk for Dress for Success Tampa Bay in 2015 was a “walking testament” to the inextricable link between personal health and professional success. The event raised more than $10,000 to support the programs of Dress for Success Tampa Bay.”
Beyond providing professional attire, the aim is to build up the confidence and self-esteem by acting as a support system. Dress for Success enables women to eventually become independent financially, professionally, and beyond--in all facets of life.
