When treating cancer or non-cancerous tumors, our surgeons work with hepatologists and other cancer specialists to come up with the best care plan for each individual patient. If surgery is necessary, Dr. Iswanto Sucandy and Dr. Alexander Rosemurgy, DHI's liver surgeons, are highly experienced in using minimally invasive techniques. Because the large majority of our patients do not need a large incision, they experience easier and faster recoveries. Not all area centers are able to provide minimally invasive liver surgery, which requires a highly experienced surgeon like those at DHI.
