In the February 2015 volume of General Surgery News, Dr. Sharona Ross was featured in an article regarding single-incision surgery. Dr. Ross and Dr. Rosemurgy were pioneers in Laparoendoscopic Single Site (LESS) Surgery and believe strongly in its application. Dr. Ross and Dr. Rosemurgy perform their laparoscopic operations through a single incision in the patient’s umbilicus with superior outcomes. Together, they have trained over 300 surgeons in this technique since 2007. In this article, Dr. Ross discusses the importance of ergonomics for successful single site surgery.
