On Friday, October 31st, we hosted the Annual Abdominal Surgeons Meeting here at Florida Hospital Tampa. The course was led by Dr. Alexander Rosemurgy and Dr. Sharona Ross. Thirty surgeons from around the country participated in the course, and were able to watch a live OR feed for a robotic distal pancreatectomy, as well as a Stretta procedure. Participants also participated in a simulation lab for robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery and endoluminal surgery. The surgeons were able to sample a variety of equipment with instruction being provided by. Dr. Rosemurgy, Dr. Ross, Dr. Sukharamwala and Dr. Sadowitz.
The course was a huge success.
