Our volunteer positions include, but are not limited to:
- General: escorting patients through the hospital, delivering mail and flowers to patient units, etc.
- Clerical/office: assist a variety of departments with tasks like filing, answering phones, typing, etc.
- Emergency department: assist medical staff with non-medical tasks
- Gift shop: assist with retail duties and aiding customers
- Host/hostess: greet and assist patients and guests at our main entrance
- Information desk: provide information to patients and visitors at the hospital's entrance
- Medical/surgical units: assist nursing staff with non-nursing tasks in the unit
- Surgical waiting room attendant: serve as the information liaison between surgical staff and the patient’s family
We currently do not have a shadowing or baby cuddling program for volunteers at our facility.

Answer:We accept Medicare. We do not accept Medicaid as a primary insurance.

Question: Do I have to be an AdventHealth patient?
Answer:You do not have to be a current patient in an AdventHealth hospital or facility to benefit from the care available in our Transitional Care Unit. Call us at Call386-943-3100 to learn more.

Question: How long can I stay?
Answer:The average length of stay is two weeks. Our team will work closely with you to make an individual plan that best fits your needs and helps you feel healthier as soon as possible. Our goal is to help you achieve a healthy, speedy and successful recovery through whole-person care.
