Cardiac rehab at the Shimberg Cardiac Prevention and Rehabilitation Center is offered for patients with a recent diagnosis of angina, heart attack, angioplasty, stent, coronary artery bypass or heart valve surgery.
Cardiac rehabilitation for cardiovascular or cardiopulmonary conditions can help patients safely return to life with a structured, medically supervised exercise program. It is also appropriate for patients whose physicians believe can benefit from an exercise program for other conditions such as diabetes or obesity. Everyone who enrolls in the cardiac rehab program must have a written referral from their doctor.
